The Fantastic Art of Renae De Liz

Odds are you’ve heard of Renae De Liz because of Womanthology, of which she is the Project Manager, and to which she is also contributing a story. Recently, she illustrated IDW’s graphic novel adaptation of The Last Unicorn, as well as Sonic the Hedgehog #198 and the Rogue Angel 5-issue mini-series.

Unfortunately, I have not become familiar with her artwork until recently. Sure, I picked up her name in conjunction with Womanthology, but her artistic endeavors remained a mystery to me. I’m sure there’s a meaningful comment to be made here about the necessity of an anthology of all women creators, but I digress.

Suffice to say, that I have recently made the trip to her website, blog, and deviantART profile, and have come bearing awesome art. Take a look below at some of my favorites, and make sure to visit the source for more good stuff.

About: Alex

Alex is the guy that runs and edits this blog. He’s been reading comics for as long as he’s been able to read, and somewhere along the way started forming opinions that extended beyond just Batman is cool, or Spider-Man is awesome, and more importantly decided to share these. Lately, he’s been getting a little burned out on mainstream comics, but has found solace in the indie world. There’s also his inhuman love of heavy metal, but we do not speak of that.
